Palatul Parlamentului or Parliament Palace in Bucharest, Romania (known before the revolution as the House or House of People's Republic), measures 270 m by 240 m, 86 m high and 92 m underground. It has 12 levels and 8 ground surface.
According to the World Records Academy, the Parliament Palace is the largest civilian administrative building use area in the world, most expensive administrative building in the world and the worst building in the world three times entering the record books. Building the Palace of Parliament is situated in the center of Bucharest (sector 5), the place which today is called Arsenal Hill , framed by Spring Street to the west and north-west, United Nations Avenue north of Liberty Avenue to the east and south Way on September 13 . It is 10 minutes away from Union Square and 20 minutes from North Station (bus 123).
The hill on which the Parliament House today is largely a creation of nature, with an initial height of 18 m, but Liberty Avenue side is artificially raised. |
